We offer a range of illustrated talks throughout the year.
All talks last for approximately 1hr and can be adapted to meet your requirements.

Range of Talks:
James Lye and his fuchsias (Talk) – This talk provides an overview of one of England’s leading amateur Victorian horticulturalists, from Wiltshire, who is recognised as a first-class hybridiser (attributed to introducing around 100 new fuchsia cultivars), grower and exhibitor. Hi is also renowned for growing and exhibiting his fuchsias in the style of a pyramid, which he excelled in.
Fuchsias – General Overview (Talk) – This talk provides an overview of fuchsias, from their origins around the world, arrival in the United Kingdom, the Victorian mania for fuchsias, pests and diseases as well as highlighting some unusual and interesting fuchsias.
Fuchsia Care (Talk, can include a demonstration) – This talk is focused on growing and caring for your fuchsias throughout the year, from propagation to overwintering
Equipment at physical talks:
For physical talks, we will bring a laptop, digital projector and screen (if the venue doesn’t have a screen) with us, but it would be useful if you could provide a projector stand or table for this purpose. We also require a table for information and plants (as we like to bring plants to sell). If the talk includes a demonstration, we would require an additional table to demonstrate from.
Plant Sales at physical talks:
In season we aim to bring a range of fuchsias plants, for sale, to our talks. It is also possible for your guests to pre-order plants, via our online shop (www.fuchsias.co.uk), which can be delivered to the event for collection.
